Hispanic Business Foundation awarded grant for youth program

The Hispanic Business Foundation of Maryland, a 501c3 non-profit founded in 2000 by members of the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Montgomery to provide educational and community outreach, received a grant award from Wal-Mart on April 2, 2009, for its Partnership for Youth Initiative (PYI), a program that places promising young students, whose situations may discourage them from graduating, in internships with local businesses where they learn job skills, build and sustain ambitions, and help support their families.
